LAND SETTLEMENT SOCIETY. GOVERNMENT ONLY CREDITOR. (From Our Oip Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Tuesday. Following thf arrangement made recently between the Waikato v Land Settlement Society and the Government, under which the later undertook to finance the society's future activities, the Government ha? advanced the society £30,000. The society issued a floating debenture over all its assets as. security for the advance and future grants. With the money in hand the society has paid off all its liabilities, and the Government is its only creditor. A portion of the grant will be spent on development [work. "
