CROSS-CHANNEL FERRIES.

Apart from the realisation of the cross-Channel passenger's dream of going to bed in London and waking up in Paris, the new Southern Railway trainferry service between Dover and Dunkerque will provide additional transport for motor cars between England and France. On each side of the new ferry steamers a garage has been built which will accommodate-25'motor cars. Petrol tanks will not have to be emptied for the sea. passage, while the cars can be driven straight on or off the steamers, thus avoiding the use of lifting tackle. Restaurant, saloon and cabin facilities are provided.
