SEVERELY INJURED.
THROWN OVER CAR'S BONNET. (By Telegrapii--Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Extensive injuries were received by Earle Leney, aged 18, a motor mechanic, of Wellington, when his motor cycle col-"ded'head-on with a motor car in the Ngahauranga Gorge, about 5.40 p.nT | yesterday. Leney was taken to hospital suffering from concussion,' a compound frWcture of the left leg, a fracture of the right thigh, and a fracture of the left wrist. His condition is reported to be serious. Leney was on his way to. join his parents at Feilding. Ha vine overtaken another motor cycle, he pulled out to pass a bus and struck the approaching car; He was thrown over the bonnet of the car and struck the back windows of the bus.
