INTOXICATION CHARGE.
LORRY DRIVER'S ARREST. - " A* lorry driver, Raymond Victor Lawless, aged 28, arrested on Christmas Eve, appeared in the Police Court this " morning, charged with being in a state of intoxication while in charge of a ; * 'motor vehicle in Richmond Road on December 24. Sub-Inspector Fox obtained a remand by consent, until January 13. "I should * mention, in connection with this matter, that it is alleged that a woman and lieu daughter were knocked down," added Mr. Fox. "The daughter was admitted to hospital in a fairly serious condition; but to-day her condition was stated to be satisfactory." Accused, for whom Mr. J. J". Sullivan appeared, was allowed bail in £50 with one surety,
