PRICE OF MILK.

Are the women going to do "nothing about the price of milk? I remember them making a big fuss when the last Government penalised | the five-year-old, yet here we have an attack 011 the "infant in the cradle." Indeed, I might go further, and say it is endangering the life of the unborn, for it is well known that a light diet consisting chiefly of milk food is all that is taken by the mother during, the hitter period preceding the birth of her child. Iliat milk is the child's birthright is proved by the fact that its Creator sent its food into the world with it. It is a sad blow to ii mother to discover she is unable to nurse her child worse still, to hear the hungry cry from the cradle and insufficient money to biiy milk at its present price. It is enough to make the poor little mites pack their swags and walk out of the country as soon as they take their first steps. ' S.O.S. *
