SWIMMING.

AUCKLAND CENTRE. CHAMPIONSHIPS TO-NIGHT. INTERMEDIATE AND JUNIOR. The selection of the team to represent Auckland at tlie New Zealand intermediate and junior championship meeting in Nelson next month will be based upon tlie merit attained in the races for the Auckland titles, which will lie contested in the Tepid Baths to-night. Fast times, in some instances equal to senior standards, are expected to be recorded by smart young competitors such as Alan Pascoe and Misses Marjorie Black and Kathleen Grey. An event arousing much interest is the 440 yards ladies' championship of Auckland, especially on account of the line form displayed recently by the holder, Mona Leydon. R. B. Frankliam, P. Hanan, N. Crump and other prominent senior champions will be participating in the open handicap races.

A senior water polo match will be played between Wai tenia ta aud North Shore.
