HAMMOND'S FAST HUNDRED. IPSWICH, December 14. Hurricane hitting by Hammond and Voce marked England's innings of 406 runs against the Queensland country team today. The boundaries were short, and 19 sixes were hit in the innings. Hammond made 109 rung In 00 minutes with nine sixes and 10 fours, and Voce made 39 in 17 minutes with six sixes, including five in one over. Wortliington scored 72 and Fagg 40. The -country team scored 300 runs on Friday, when the match opened, and in its second innings to-day made 124 (Cockburn 33. Maddern 33). Copson took three wickets for 16 runs and Ames three for 12. The match was drawn.
