MR. WILLIAM HENRY TOY. i ; | The death occurred this morning at a private hospital of Mr. William Henry I Toy, aged 04. proprietor of the Waihi | "Telegraph," who was for many years on the literary staff of the "New Zea- ! land Herald." I Mr.' Toy was born in Cornwall, and i came to New Zealand as a child. He | lived most of his life in Auckland, rej linquishing his connection with the | "Herald" some 20 years ago. During I his years in the city he became well | known by reason of his newspaper conj tacts, and took a keen interest in sport, j In Waihi he interested himself in public ] affairs, being at one time a member of h the borough council, and also a member of the hospital board.
