In most of the events the competitors seem well matched, so that exciting finishes are anticipated. Of special interest will be the contest for the 440ytls ladies' championship of Auck- i land, in which there is a likelihood that the holder, Mona Leydon, will reduce her own Australian and New Zealand record.
