MARTIN DONNELLY'S PEAT. CANDIDATE FOR NEW ZEALAND TEAM Martin Donnelly, captain of the New Plymouth Boys' High School first eleven, ceiebrated his selection for the Country team against Wellington and his last match for the ' school side on Saturday, l)y an extraordinary bowling feat of 10 wickets for S runs. lie also made a brilliant 4 ( with the bat. . Dohnellv performed well in the \\ ellington:Count'ry match last year and has many tine performances in club cricket to his
credit. Batting lias always been his forte, although lie has bowled well, but now his bowling is showing brilliance. , He dismissed the whale of the Old Boys side on Saturday with off and leg breaks and occasional straight balls that 'nade great pace -off the wicket. The Old Bojs side made only 41 runs.- 1 " - .' ~ Donnelly is believed to have a good chance of selection in the New Zealand 1 team to tour England next year.
