HIBERNIANS TURN TABLES

SMITH HITS FIVE SIXES. In splendid weather the sixth series of matches under the auspices of the Luiteu Friendlv Societies was decided at 1 owius Park, Morningside, 011 Saturday. Unusually high scoring in the principal match can be attributed to greatly improved wicket conditions. The surprise of the day was the unexpected win of the Hiberians, who eventually won by two wickets after being 31. behind on the iirst innings. In the limited time at their disposal the win of the Hibernians was a highly creditable one. Cvclonic hitting marked the principal match. Westmere batted lirst, scoring 170 in 07 minutes. Devonport replied with 145, and after Westmere had declared with half an hour to go, the Druids were left with 123 to get in 30 minutes. Off the lirst over 30 runs were scored and when stumps were drawn 103 was 011 the board with six wickets down. Smith, the opening batsman, made 44, including live beautiful sixes, In 3 5 minutes.
