THEFT CHARGE DENIED.
A labourer named George Cunningham, aged 62, in the Police Court to-day, pleaded guilty to a charge of drunkenness, but lie denied a further charge of stealing £1 10/, the property of Andrew Greig, on December 4. Fined 20/ on the first charge, Cunningham was remanded until December 15 on the second count.
