The truth of it is being confirmed to-day- - Before- all eyes there is fearfulness in all nations and perplexity in every department of life {Luke xxi, 25-26), yet many people fail to see any significance in the course of world events. Of one race God declared, they would experience,' for their correction, a time of trouble which would mean the breaking of their bonds, but would result in the downfall of the oppressor nations (Jeremiah xxx). ; Jesus Christ said a generation would come, starting with tho rise of nation against nation (Luke xxi, 10) and witnessing a change in the possession of Jerusalem (Luke xxi, 24), and it would not end until He had returned to earth with great power and glory (Luke xxi, 32-33). He is coming, not to a cross, but a throne (Luke i, 31-32), not as Saviour, but as the Judge of all nations (Matthew xxv, 31-32), to bring in everlasting righteousness, and cause warfare to cease (Psalm xlvi).
