NEXT WOOL SALE.
AT NAPIER ON FRIDAY.
QUALITY OF OFFERING.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NAPIER, this day. Preparations are in hand for the second New Zealand wool sale of the season, which is to be held in Napier on Friday, widespread interest being focused on the event in view of ,: the exceptional rise in prices recorded at Auckland on Saturday. The bulk of the wool for sale is in contrast with the greater proportion of that offered at Auckland, which consisted of carding types, being longer, better grown and more bold in character. The wool generally has opened up in much lighter condition than was the case for the first sale last season. The general appearance is not quite so bright as it promised to be, but it is fairly soft handling. A refreshing feature of the display is that it consists almost entirely of new season's clips, held over lots being practically absent. Another feature is the absence of seed, which is largely due to early shearing being completed before seeding commenced. The clips show very little evidence of the weather stains which were prominent last season, and shabby lots form only a small percentage.
