POINT CHEVALIER COMPETITION.
The Point Chevalier. Ambulance Committee held a national dancing competition at the R.S.A. Hall, Point Chevalier, on Saturday. Under 17 years, sword dance: Jessie Boyd 1, June Cooney 2, June ■ Linton 3. Sean trubhais, under 11: Pat McMinn 1, Creana Gee 2. Open sean trubhais: C. Warrington 1, Doreen Dunn 2, Yelda Steven 3. Beginners, jig: Doris McKenzie-1, Noel Nelson 2, Doris Sinclair 3. Under 13 years, fling: Pat McMinn 1, Jean Macnaugliton 2, June Stevens 3. Under 15, Highland reel: Joyce Cain 1, Anita Copeland 2. Mary Colledge 3. Under 7 years, Irish jig: Betty Jeffries 1, N. Dwver 2, Avis Macken 3. Under 15 years, Irish jig: Anita Copeland 1, Pat McMinn 2, Joyce Cain 3. Under 11 years, waltz clog: Pat McMinn 1, Shirley Everson 2, Raina Mitchell 3. Under 0 years, sailor's hornpipe: Desmond Thorne 1, Betty Jeffries 2, Glen Purdon 3. Under 17 years, sailor's hornpipe: June Linton 1, Jessie Boyd 2, Joyce Cain 3. Under 13 years, sailor's hornpipe: Pat McMinn 1, Jean Macnaughton 2, Desmond Thorne 3; Novice hornpipe: Dorothy McDonald 1, Betty-Booth: 2, Jean Macnaughton 3. The judge was Miss B. Kerr.
