HOSPITAL CONCERTS.
For the past nine years Neville Carisen s Revue Company has entertained regularly and voluntarily each Monday night at the Auckland Hospital. During this long period, in which these concerts have been a feature of hospital life, the regular Monday night entertainment has been abandoned on only on# occasion—the death of His Majesty King George V. Our efforts were amply rewarded by the always -keen and very evident enjoyment by the patients, but now, after such a long period, the privilege of hospital concerts, has been withdrawn by the superintendent, who gives as his reason the recent increase in visiting hours. We want the patients and all interested to know that we greatly regret being disallowed to continue in our labour of cheer and love. It was so worth while and always looked forward to with pleasant anticipation, we know, and many expressions of appreciation will ever be remembered by us. However, it was a matter outside our control or determination, and we had to accept the decree of the superintendent. We will, of course, continue our regular cycle of entertainments at the many other hospitals and institutions, but will ever regret our enforced severance with the regular Monday night hospital concert. NEVILLE CARLSEN. Hon. Organiser, Neville Carlsen Revue Co.
