HURUNUI FROM NEWPORT.

WANGANELLA IN THE MORNING.

The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Hurunui, 9315 tons, in charge of Captain F. C. Pretty, arrived shortly

after S o'clock this morning from Newport, Monmouthshire, with a full cargo. She left Newport on October 15, coining out via Cape of Good Hope, and experienced very fine weather in the Atlantic

and crossing tlie Indian Ocean, with a few days' bad weather Hearing tlie New Zealand coast. The ship is berthed at the Queen's wharf and is expected to leave on Saturday for Wellington. The Port Wyndham is busy getting the last of her wool aboard at tlie Queens wharf and will sail for London, via Cape I-lorn, at 10 o'clock to-night. She is due at London on January 4, being tlie first ship to arrive with tlie new season's clip. The Huddart Parker passenger liner Wanganella, advises that she"will arrive from Sydney at 7 a.m. to-morrow. She has ISO passongers on board. Tongariro is loading at the Prince s wharf and is expected to leave on Saturday for Wellington. She sails for London from Napier on December IS. (N.Z.S. Co.) Norfolk is discharging cargo from Liverpool and west coast ports and will leave for Wellington on Satuiday. (N.Z.S. Co.) Matua will arrive at 11 a.m. to-mor-row from Suva with a large cargo of bananas, etc. (U.S.S. Co.) Gabriella is due from Newcastle at 0 a.m. to-morrow. (U.S.S. Co.) Polzella, now discharging sugary at Chelsea, is expected to leave for Westport to-morrow. (Speckling Ltd.) Triaster, which arrived from Nauru Island on Sunday, will leave 011 her return to Nauru 011 Thursday. (B.P. Co.) Mataroa is loading at Queen's wharf and will sail for London, via Panama, with passengers and a full cargo at 5 p.m. 011 Friday. (L.D.N.) H.M.S. Achilles leaves New Plymouth to-day for Auckland and will arrive on Thursday morning. (Naval Dept.) " JAPANESE VESSELS' MOVEMENTS. Messrs. Russell and Soraers, Ltd., advise :liat the s.s. Saikoli Maru sailed from Aamori on Xovember 24 for Auckland, via Suva, having for discharge at Auckland 1000 tons of sulphur. This vessel is due to arrive on December 24. -The s.s. Chifuku Maru Is due to arrive direct from Japan on December 23 to discharge at the four main ports. The Kasliu Maru has been substituted for the s.s.
