SERVICE TOURNEY. PUBLIC DEPARTMENTS' CONTEST. "AGRICULTURE" AND "HEALTH" IN" FINAL. Despite showery weather the annual 'tournament of the Auckland Public Service Bowling Association was held yesterday, and was got through to the final. The Mount Eden and Auckland Clubs' picturesque greens provided the playing ■area for sixty teams, who were welcomed at the Auckland greens by Mr. J. E. Green, of the Post and Telegraph Department, in the course of whose remarks the association's, thanks to their hosts were conveyed, and at Mount Eden Mr. R. Thomas (Internal Affairs) conveyed the welcome. Five rounds of fourteen heads were decided on each green, the players using three bowls, and at the end of the day's play the issue was narrowed down to two teams. The final between Keys and Barnett (Agriculture) and Stace and Lofley (Public Health) will be played on a date to be arranged. Following are the results:— Auckland Green. SECTION A. First Round.—li.
