CHEAPER RATES.
PARCEL POST BUSINESS,
INCREASE OF 100 PER CENT.

DUNEDIN, Monday.
The increase in parcel post traffic consequent on the introduction in March of lower and more simplified rates, was commented on to-day by the Post-master-General, the Hon. F. .Tones.
"There is 110 doubt that' the cheaper I rates have met with the approval of the public," the Minister said. "Over a recent period of four weeks some 137,000 parcels, were posted at the four centres, whereas during the corresponding period last year the total was about Gojooo. As far as the four centres, are concerned, therefore, the increase is over 100 per cent." I —
