WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. Tho Government Meteorologist issued to tho "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather foreoast for the Auckland Province to as far south as Tauranga, Kawhia and Hamilton:— Moderate, but freshening, northerly winds. Weather, fair at first, but gradually clouding over, and rain probable within 24 hours. Temperatures mild. Seas, moderate, but rising on the west coast. Pressure is high to the north-east of tho Dominion, but a rather deep depression is advanoing across the South Tasman Sea, and has a considerable extension to the northward. FOR THE DOMINION. ' For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day: The indications are for moderate, northerly winds, freshening. The woather appears likely to be cloudy and unsettled, with rain following. Barometer, falling. Ceas, moderate. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather condii.ins in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritirl Island at noon to-day:— Wind, north, moderate to fresh; sea, moderate; weather, fine, but cloudy; visibility, good; barometer, steady.
