Thompson, formerly of tho Plaza Theatre, Auckland, has taken over the management of the State Theatre, Mastcrton. Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Brown, formerly of Auckland, who have spent the last few years in Australia, are at present 011 a visit to Auckland. Brocklehurst, Dean of Xapier, who has been 011 a visit to England in connection with the raising of funds for the rebuilding of the Xapier Cathedral, is a passenger on the Rangitata, which arrives to-morrow morning. Savage, rector of one of the oldest churches in London, St. Bartholomew the Great, Mr. S. J. Lamorna Birch, R.A., some of whose work is in Xew Zealand's Xational Art Gallery, Sir Edward HudsOn-Kinahan, Bart., of Fermoy, Ireland, Captain V. G. Webb, marine superintendent of the Union Steam Ship Company, and Mr. B. E. H. Tripp are among the passengers by the Rangitata, which will arrive from London to-mor-row morning.
