I* OEAKEI CLUB. D. K. DUNCAN THE WAITEMATA CUP. ! The Orakei Golf Club's competition for the Waiteinata Cup was played during the week-end. D. Iv. Duncan (18J defeating ,T. Clftulwick (16). 1 up. In the semi-finals of the Camfosa Cup competition, P. Gray (-0; beat A. T. Bell (22), 1 up and J. Chadwick (16) beat D. K. Duncan (IS), 2 up. Semi-finals for the captain's prize : —\\ . H. Chappell (U) beat T. Green (10), 4 and 3, and J. Chadwick (Jf6) beat D. K. Duncan (18), 3 and 2. The closing day of the winter season jvill be held on Saturday week, when mixed Canadian foursomes will be ulayed, commencing at noon. Prizes won during the season will be presented at the conclusion of play. MAUNGAKIEKIE CLUB. The winter season of the Wliangarei ladies' and men's golf clubs was officially closed at -Mr. Denby 011 Saturday, a large attendance and good weather contributing to make the wind-up function a bright success. A mixed foursomes was won by Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Sheen, after which tne presentation of trophies won during the season took place. Championships won by: — Men : Senior, Dr. H. F. Buckley ; intermediate, H. W. Cormack; junior, 11. J. Lynch. Ladies: Senior, Mrs. H. Yiunger ; junior, Mrs. G. M. Robertson.
