EXHIBITION IN LONDON. INVITATION ACCEPTED. (By Telegraph.—Pres? Association.) WELLINGTON, Sunday. An . announcement was made a,t the - annual conference of the Association of New Zealand Art Societies, that Zealand, together with the other British Dominions, had been invited to send a collection of pictures, representative of art in this country, for display in Lon- [ don during the Coronation. Anangements will be made for the dispatch of what it is hoped will be a worthy col- ; lection early in February. The following rota of exhibitions for [1037 was agreed to: —Waikato, May 3; Auckland, May 24; Napier, July 4; Nel- ■ son,. September 4; Wellington, October 1; Otago, November 15. Regret was expressed that the Can-1; terbury Society of Arts still desired to j remain unassociated, and a warm invi- : tation was extended to the society to I co-operate in the selection of pictures j! tio n Pch to the Coronation exhibi- ; The following officers were elected:—' President - Mr. L. D. Bestall, Napier:' ice-pi esident, M . Roland Hipkins, Wei-! Jington; secretary, Mr. J. B. Brinsden-' treasurer, Mr. H. L. Cole. The Auckland, Hawke's Bay, Nelson Otago Waikato and Wellington societies sent delegates to the conference, and the New Zealand Institute of Architects was represented.
