Mr. Justice Smith arrived by train this morning from the South. Mr. W. Goodfellow leaves for the South to-night by the Limited. The Hon. H. G. R. Mason leaves tonight 011 a visit to tlie South. Mr. C. M. Richwhite is a passenger by the Limited to-night for the South. Mr. R. H. Xesbitt, Australian Trade Commissioner is a guest at the Grand Hotel. Mr. E. E. I). Clarke, Australian stock breeder and grazier, arrived by the Monterey 011 a visit to Xew Zealand. Mr. A. T. Bothamley, Gentleman Usher of the Black Rod, returned by the Awatea this morning from a visit to England. Mr. A. X. Wallace, postmaster at Xelson, is spending a holiday in Auckland, and will pay a visit to the King Country before returning home at the end of the month. Mr. B. Gordon Edwards, divisional organiser of the Xew Zealand National party, leaves to-day for the Waikato 011 a visit to the electorates of that district. Mr. F. E. Hughes, who lias been attending a meeting in Sydney of Empire Dairies, Limited, of which he is a director, returned to Auckland this morning by the Awatea. Mr. R. McKeen, a member of the Wellington City Council, has returned to Wellington" after a visit to Geneva, where lie was a delegate to the International Labour Conference. Mr. Howard Elliott, one of the founders of the "Xew Zealand Financial Times," has relinguished his association with that journal. Mr. Elliott was the first managing editor and director. Mr. W. E. Anderson, secretary of the Auckland Provincial Employers' Association, is at present in Wellington in order to attend the annual meeting of the Xew Zealand Employers' Federation. Sir Arthur Richards, Governordesignate of Fiji, accompanied by Lady Richards and their three children, arrived by the Awatea this morning from Sydney. They are at the Grand Hotel. Mr. J. S. Dawes, president, and Mr. J. A. C. Allum, vice-president, of the Auckland Provincial Employers' Association, are leaving to-night to attend the annual meeting of the Xew Zealand Employers' Federation shortly to be held in Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. H. W.'Frost returned by the Awatea this morning, after six months in Sydney. When they r left Auckland, they intended to visit Canada, but Mr. Frost was taken ill and had to undergo an operation in Sydney. He has now fully recovered. Mr. J. P. Kenny, who recently retired from the position of secretary to the Xapier Harbour Board after more than 50 years' service with the board, left Xapier 011 Saturday. He will sail from Wellington by the Awatea on November 24, on .a tour of the Continent, and expects to spend seven or eight months abroad, before returning | to Xapier.
