MATERNITY HOSPITALS.
Tn the article entitled "System Defended in the "Auckland Star" of October 19 referring to St. Helens Hospitals mention is made of the unmarried mothers to the effect that the\ are advised to make application to one of the charitable homes conducted for the purpose. May I say how very fortunate it i<- that m their hour of need these pirls can go to these institutions. Those responsible for the State hospitals could, apparently, learn something from the sympathy and loving care bestowed upon unmarried mothers in their hour of trial. TRAINED NURSE.
