MORNING TEA.
In honour of Miss Joy Bishop and Miss Bryson Poole, who are shortly to be married, and Miss R. Hardley, who lias recently returned from England, a morning tea was given by the girls' committee of the Victoria League yesterday. The hostesses were Misses M. Cruicksliaiik, J. Thomson, S. Bartleet and H. Fraser. The chairman of the committee, Mrs. L. S. Rickerby, presented the guests of honour with bouquets, and the brides-to-be with cookery books. During the morning songs were , sung by Miss Phylis Renner, pianoforte selections were played by Mrs. R. Reid, and Miss M. Cruicksliank recited. Among those present were: Miss Mowbray (president), Mesdanies Agar, F. Tansley, R. Thomson, E. Eastgate, H. Gordon, F. Fenwick, M. Jack, Misses M. and E. Hutchinson, M. and P. Cruicksliank, P. Ryder (Whangarei), M. -Parkinson, M. Wright, Stonex, A. Morley, D. Hart, J. Richardson, D. Saunders, N. Jamison, L. de Boissiere, M. Cerrutty, R. Poole, R. Lovell, E. Thompson, A. Laery, J. Spence . (Qisborne), M. Lincoln and 11. Fraser.
