Sydney Publisher Wins Suit Against " Bulletin." SEQUEL TO CRITICISM. (Received 9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Damages of £750 were awarded against the Sydney "Bulletin" and the journalist critic, Brian Penton, in an action for libel brought by Pereival Reginald Stephenscn, publisher of the novel, "Mezzo Morto," which was severely criticised in the "Bulletin" by Penton. The author of "Mezzo Morto," Clarence Crockett, was last year awarded £1000 damages against the same defendants. SEPARATION STANDS. MRS. MOLLISON DEFINITE. (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, October 22. Mr. J. A. Mollison said in New York that lie did not know what was in his wife's mind when she announced that they had separated. They had not discussed anything of the kind. Commenting on this, Mrs. Mollison told the "Daily Herald": "My husband's statement compels me to repeat that our separation stands. Before leaving for America my husband agreed amicably that we should each go our own way. I hold him to liis promise." FASHION TINTS. CORONATION COLOURS. (Received 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, October 22. Eight special coronation fashion tints have been announced by the British Colour Council. Bed and blue respectively will represent the Army and Navy, and crimson and true blue the British flag. Gold has been toned down to make it possible to be worn by women of all ages. Green is the original 13th century heraldry vert. Others, all charmingly soft, are Marlborough blue, Holyrood green, Buckingham lilac, and St. James rose. PLANTERS' REQUESTS. DEPUTATION TO NEW ZEALAND APIA, October 22. The United Progressive party of Western Samoa, formerly the Country party, has lodged a protest with the Administrator against expenditure incurred in sending a delegation to New Zealand. If in spite of the .protest the Government granted permission to a faipule delegation, then the United Progressive party also wanted a similar privilege to send a delegation. The party also asked that the European to be appointed on the Finance Committee be nominated by European taxpayers and not by the Administrator.
