SWIMMING.
AUCKLAND CENTRE. COMBINED CARNIVAL NOVEMBER 10. The executive of the Auckland' Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association yesterday approved the programme for the centre's combined carnival in the Tapid Baths on November 10. The programme is 33 l-3yds boys' handicap, 33 1-oyds girls' handicap, 66 2-3 yds junior boys' handicap, 66 2-3.vds junior girls' handicap, 06 2-3 yds intermediate girls' handicap, 66 2-3 yds intermediate boys' handicap, 100 yds men's open handicap. 100 yds open breaststroke handicap, 66 2-3 yds novice handicap. 100 yds ladies' open handicap, 166 2-3 yds business houses' relay. 200 yds inter-club intermediate relay, 66 2-y.vds men's and ladies' backstroke handicap, 133 l-3yds tiny tot boys and girls' relay championship. An application from the Parnell Club for permission to decide a 500 yds interclub relay championship at one of its carnivals this season was referred to a full meeting of the centre. The Ponsonby Club applied for permission to hold a carnival in the Tepid Baths on January 19. The programme was approved, with the exception of the ladies' diving and the 220 yds men's free-style championships of Auckland. The club's request to be permitted to conduct these events was referred to the full centre.
