Mr. Justice Johnston will leave by the Limited express this evening for Wellington. The Hon. A. Burns, M.L.C., will be a passenger to Wellington by the Limited express this evening. Mr. C. E. Petrie and Mr. W. T. Anderton, M.P.'s, will leave by the Limited express for Wellington this evening. Mr. P. Higginbottom, of Wangsuiui, and Mrs. Higginbottom, are visiting Auckland. They are at the Star Hotel. Mi - . H. W. Lamb last night resigned from the Xortlicote District High School Committee. His resignation was accepted with regret. Mr. Andre Fonville, a French mining expert, who has been visiting New Zealand, left by the Aorangi for Vancouver to-day 011 the first stage of his journey to France. Major V. F. Maxwell, commanding officer of the King's College Cadet Battalion, has been awarded the efficiency decoration for territorial officers who have had 20 years' commissioned service. Mr. T. A. Duncan, chairman of the Xew Zealand Meat Producers.' Board, and Mr. J. Eraser, general manager, left Auckland by the Aorangi to-day for London in order to assist the Minister of .Marketing, the Hon. W. Xash.
