The Huddart Parker Company's twinscrew motor passenger ship Wanganella, 10,000 tons, Captain Darrocli,. arrived from. Sydney shortly after 1.30 p.m. to-day with 102 passengers, .mails and a large cargo. She is bertlied at the Queen's wharf and will leave on her return to Sydney and Melbourne at 8 p.m. on Thursday. . The Bank Line steamer Lindenbank, 5037 tons, in charge of Captain J. H. Chalmers, arrived from Nauru Island at 6.30 o'clock this morning, berthing at the King's wharf to discharge 8600 tons of phosphate. She met with strong south-east winds all the way, with thick, hazy weatlien The Canadian Challenger, which was to have' sailed for New \ork, Boston and Montreal at 7 a.m. to-day, _lias developed some engine room defect, which will delay her departure for a day or two. She is due next Monday. • MAGDALENE VINNEN SOLD. The German four-masted auxiliary barque, f Magdalene Vinnen has been sold to the North German Lloyd to be used as a training ship. She has been renamed Kommodore Jolmsen. She is a vessel of 3470 tons and was built by the Krupps Shipbuilding Company in Kiel in 1921, and visited AucK- f land in February, 10SS.
