LAWN TENNIS.
ST. STEPHEN'S CLUB. There was a large attendance at the official opening of the St. Stephen's Lawn Tennis Club, Parnell, on Saturday afternoon. The president, Mr. M. G. Laird, referred to the improved facilities provided by the erection of the new infant school. He expressed the club's appreciation to the members of the Parnell school committee present for their interest in the club, and for the manner in which its representations had been met. Miss B. Tulloch, a foundation member of the club,served the first ball, after which a progressive tournament was held.
