Mr. A. G. Osborne, the newly-elected M.P. for Manukau, will be a passenger for Wellington by the Limited express this evening. The Minister of Justice and AttorneyGeneral, the Hon. PI. G. R. Mason, left Auckland by the Limited express last night for Wellington. Sir Michael Myers, Chief Justice, and Lady Myers arc returning to New Zealand* by the Rangitiki, which is due at Wellington from London 011 October 21. Mr. Robert McLaren, principal of the Grevmonth Technical College, has tendered his resignation to the board after 49 years' of service as a teacher, says a Press Association message from Greymouth. The Marquess of Hartington, UnderSecretary for Dominion Affairs, and the Marchioness of Hartington are passengers by the Orient liner Orion, which is due in Sydney from London 011 October 21. They will also visit New Zealand after their official visit to Australia. Lord Waleran, who was second secretary to the Governor-General of New Zealand from 1927 to 1930, and his bride, a daughter of Sir Emsley Carr, are passengers by the Orion, which is to arrive at Sydney from London on October 21. They will spend their honeymoon in Australia and New Zealand. Flying-Officer D. W. Morrish, of the reserve of Royal Air Force officers, has been accepted for re-entry into the force and promoted to the rank of flightlieutenant, with an appointment as adjutant of an air force station. Mr. Morrish, who is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Morrish, of Wliangarei, completed a five years' short-service commission with the-Royal Air Force last year, and returned to New Zealand. As he could find no permanent flying position in the Dominion, he went back to England a few months ago. He has been granted a "pro forma" commission, which will grow with the expansion of the force, and which probably wiL be permanent.
