BRIDGE EVENING.
NGA TAWA OLD GIRLS.
Organised by the committee of the Auckland branch of the Nga Tawa Old Girls, a bridge evening, to raise funds for the old girls' stall at the ancual fete to be held at the school at the tnd of the year, was held at the home of Mrs. G. P. Finlay, in Mountain Road, yesterday. Bowls of stock, sweet peas and lupin were in the drawing room and lounge, and 011 the supper tables in the dining room were slim vases of Iceland poppies and maidenhair fern. The players were received by Miss Barbara Thorne George, the president, who wore a frock of ruby cliifTon velvet. The committee comprised Misses Mary Frnlav, Barbara Stedruan and Phyllis Agar. Among those present were: Mrs. Leslie Aicken, Misses Rita Taylor, Patricia Wootton, Ruth Taylor, Joan ITellaby, Margaret Mary C'arr, Sidney Fisher, Bobbie Marriner, Sybil Stewart, Denise Wootton, Ruth Whitley, G. Johnson. Peggy Coote, Mary Mackenzie, Mary Wrightson, Gay Wilson, Margaret Kwen, Vonnie Henderson, Barbara Nolan, Peggv Beaumont, June Moody, Colleen Mitchell, V. Macindoe, Nancy Clark, Ruth Upton, June Meredith, Barbara Agmen-Smith, Kathleen Coklicutt, Lovelle Corbin, Ethel Mappin, Pat Stanton and Joj r ce Robinson.
