WORKERS AT RAETIHI.
CONFIDENCE IN GOVERNMENT (By Telegraph—own correspondent.) RAETIHI, this day. At a general meeting of the Raetihi section of the New Zealand Workers Union various matters pertaining to the union were discussed. Mr. Parker presided over a fair attendance of members. The secretary was instructed to write to the Minister of Labour, the Hon. H. T. Armstrong, informing him that there was a large number of workers in the district who were not organised, and advising him that the Raetihi section was willing to organise on behalf of any industrial union and forward any fees which might be collected. Discussion took place on the question of the removal of certain clauses in the Public Works agreement, a motion to this effect being lost. A resolution affirming complete confidence in the Government, the Minister of Public Works, the Hon. R. Semple, and the general- executive of the union, was carried.
