TWO YOUNG MAORIS. OFFENCE AT TAURAXGA. Two young Maoris who had pleaded guiltv at Tauranga with robbing a man of a bottle of beer and at the same time using personal violence came before Mr. Justice Fair this morning for sentence. They were Ngaro Whare and Donald McPhee, ami they had nothing to say when placed in the dock. His Honor commented that probation could not be granted.
