SHEEPSKINS AND HIDES.
WELLINGTON PRICES FIRMER. Prices of sheepskins and hides showed an improvement at the sale held on Friday by the Wellington brokers. Sheepskins.—Dry skins met excellent competition and sold at an advance of %d to %d per lb. Salted also sold well at imnroved prices. Hides.—A good offering was submitted and an excellent clearance was effected. Heavy-weights showed little change over last sale's rates, mediuni and lightweights were %d, kip %d and yearling V-jd to %d, calf Id to VAd, all higher. Tallow sold well at slightly improved prices.
