AUCKLAND CLUB. The Auckland Cycle Club's weekly road races were continued on Saturday at Pan mure in fine weather, but tiie riders had to contend with a strong wind. Both junior and senior events were decided over the club's circuit, the former's distance being 33-1 miles, and the latter's 20 miles. Considering the big counter attraction, the amateur 100, fields were good, 29 competing.. Junior result:— D. Banks (30s) time 38.55 1 C. Kcllett (2.0), 40.42 2 L. Mitchell (scr.), aS.oO 3 11.I 1 . Collier (2.50), 41.10 4 D. Banks also recorded fastest time. Scaior reslilt :— M. Hibburt (0..'!0). time 00.20 ... 1 K. Kdkins (0.30), 01.45. 2 E. Harrison (5.0). 00.28 , 3 L. Barr (5.0), 00.21) 4 C. Knight (40s) recorded fastest time in 50.47. Members are reminded, that entries for the Hamilton-Auckland classic close next Saturday at the latest. GLOUCESTER CLUB. A 101 miles cycle race was held on Saturday at Mangere, starting and finishing at Wallace Road. Mangero. . There were ten starters, and the result' was as follows:—J. Bickncll (4.30), 51.30. 1: .J. Slieelian (5.0). 52.1, 2: J. Cooper (S.O). 5-1.10. 3. Fastest time was recorded by I'. Bickncll (of Patea) in -17,10.
