HELENSVILLE DANCE.
AUCKLAND SCOTTISH GATHERING,
An enjoyable plain and fancy dress dance was held in the Parish Hall, Helensville, on Friday last, to proceeds to be donated towards church work. Miss Elsie Scott (Spanish senorita) won the ladies' prize, and Mr. E. Strong (Wesleyan minister) was successful in the men's division. The Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss K. Phillips and Mr. K. Becroft, and the winners of the statue waltz were Miss Dorothy Snell and Mr. Cox. s Among those present were: Mesdames Parsons, Scott, Constable, Burges, Atford, Screaton, and the Misses Laura McGarvey, Julia Clifford, Kathleen Phillips, Mary Ellett, Joan Phillips, Betty Bains, Muriel Tucker, Molly Molloy, Marjory Grey, Alice Skelton, Ruby Yelas, Audrey Beagle, Mavis Skelton, Doris Becroft, Molly Tucker, Phyllis Atford, E. Grandin, Brenda Screaton, May Verco, Tuppy Constable, Doris Osborne, Pat Carleton, Elsie Scott, Dorothy Snell, Rita Osborne, Myrtle Halford, Gwen Larkin, L. Collie (Manurewa), C. Gaddes (Morrinsville), Rebecca Coombs, Fay Paniell, -Nancy Screaton, 'Maida Screaton, Norma Smith and Phyllis Megson.
