PLURAL VOTING.
TO BE ABOLISHED. EARLY BILL EXPECTED. EJECTION IN CHRIST CHURCH. Definite information has been received in Christchurcli tliat the plural system of voting will be abolished by legislation during the present session of l*Parliament, states "The Star-Sun," I Gliristchurch. It iis likely- that a bill will be put before .the House within the next few «g|ceks and effort will be made • The legislation wil'l have an impor-' faht; bearing on the coming Christchurcli Tramway . Board election. Its effect will be to reduce the voting powers of .property owners in Ohristchurch' by 2000 votes. This will be a defipite advantage to the Labour as the majority of property owners are supporters of the Citizens' Association.
