LEAGUE'S FILM MEDAL.
David 0. Selznick has been awarded tlie League of Nations gold medal for 1936 for Ijis production "Little Lord Fauntleroy." Tlie award was decided by a unanimous vote of the 52 members of the C.I.D.A.L.C. (Comite Internatinal pour la Diffusion Artistique and Litteraire pour la Cinematographs), the League's committee for propagation of motion pictures. At the same session the committee confirmed the award of a special gold medal to Charles Chaplin "in honour of the greatest personality of the art of the cinema," which it awarded some time ago.
