Hay's, Limited, drapers, of Christchur"h earned 4293 a net profit for the year ended August 19, compared with £2032 in the previous period. Dividend is iri- | creased from 5 to 6 per cent in spite of expenditure on improvements and '""'eas 6 of the capital, in which 10,000 shares were issued. Transfer to income tax reserve this year is £525, compared with £320 last year, and the balance of preliminary expenses (£245) has now been written off.
