WEEK CLOSES QUIETLY. A FEATURELESS MARKET. WOOLWORTHS (N.Z.) IMPROVE. Only a moderate amount of business has been done on "Change over ■ the last 24 hours, and the tone of the market has been quiet throughout. At this morning's call Bank of New Zealands look stronger, having a market between £1 18/4 and £1 19/ —this was the only feature of the banking or insurance sections. An odd lot of Auckland Gas shares sold a penny higher, at £1 2/10, while the only other local issue traded, Farmers' Trading A preferences, showed a drop of 3d. Following a sale last night at the improved rate of £5 3/6, Woolworths (N.Z.) had buyers this morning at £5 4/. Offers for New Zealand Drug improved to £3 14/. Australian Glass sold 3d down, at £4 12/3, and were subsequently quoted wide between £4 11/9 and £4 12/9.
