AN APPRECIATION.
Now when one hears so much of the inefficiency of the Government Departments it is quite a pleasure to record that I wrote to the Minister of Internal Affairs asking him whether he could trace my arrival here as a third-class passenger in the lonic in either September or October, 1013, and give me the captain's name. I thought it was a forlorn hope, but to my amazement a reply was received within a week giving me the exact information. I raise my hat to this Department. GRATEFUL.
