GIRLS REVOLT.
Escape from Reformatory in Boulogne. A MISTRESS ASSAULTED. (Received 12 noon.) PARIS, September 27. While a mistress was escorting girls, ranging from 14 to 18 years, to a dormitory of the reformatory school at Boulogne, they bound and gagged her, stole her keys, raided the linen cupboards and tore up their contents. Then they cut the telephone wires. Another mistress rushed to the police station and returned with gendarmes, whom a sympathetic crowd prevented entering the building. Sixteen girl 3 escaped, of whom only eight have- been recaptured.
