I According to a leading sharebroker, one effect of the devaluation of the fane is likely to be an appreciation in the price of gold, with a consequent hardening effect upon the shares of the big gold mining companies. Another view in the same connection is to the effect that the big financial countries are likely to come to an agreement to stabilise the price of gold, but at what particular point this stabilisation would take place is uncertain.
