RELIGIOUS PAGEANT.
A series of tableaux that promises to be an event of notf> in the religious life of the city is to be presented in the Town Hall on Tuesday, October 6, as the Auckland Diocesan Sunday- School Festival. Entitled "Avalon," the pageant is intended to show how the Gospel came to England, and how the doctrines Christianity were spread. Each of the eight episodes in history displayed v. have a definite meaning, and appro"hyrnns, in which the audience «i; asked to join, are to be sung.
