HARRIERS
CALLIOPE CLUB. The above club conducted its final run for the 1036 season on Saturday afternoon with a fair attendance of club members, two packs, a fast and slow, under deputy- ' captain L. J. Lanigan and XT. R. Drumniond respectively, ran over a six-mile course, with six minutes' interval between their starting times. The fast-pack caught and ran through the slow pack approximately . one mile from home. The results of the : run-ins were:— Fast Pack.—A. E. Clow 1, L. J. Lanigan 2, N. It. Shorter 3. : Slow Pack.—lt. Rehall 1, D. Sharpe 2, 1 I'. White 3. I After the run afternoon tea was pro- ' viile(l by Mrs. Clow, and the club presi--1 dent, Mr. W. E. Patterson, addressed the members. After expressing satisfaction : with the club's progress, and the keenness shown throughout the season, he concluded ' by thanking the club captain, A. E. Clayton, for the commendable manner in which he j had led the club.
