DEATH OF R. ALEXANDER. WELL-KNOWN TRAINER. (By Telegraph—Own Correspondent.) NAPIER, this day. The death occurred at Napier yesterday of R. Alexander, the well-known trainer, of Greenmeadows, and formerly of Riccarton. Alexander, who was only a young man, also trained' for Mr. J. J. Corry when Rabbi was racing, and later he had charge of Mr. T. H. Lowry'e team. His death was not unexpected, as he had recently undergone a serious operation, and little hope was entertained for his recovery. It is a shock all the same to a wide circle of friends. He leaves a wife and young family.
