OUR POPULAR FIRESIDE PUZZLES.

Budgetites Disregard Rules. The entries received for Fireside Puzzle No. 8 were disappointing in comparison with previous work submitted. Competitors were asked to select a word to describe each of the ten illustrations given and many and varied were the results. Several Budgetites disregarded the aplicableness of the meaning of certain words in their striving for higher values. We would remind competitors that after the lists have been checked and corrected many of the totals are considerably reduced and that the judge's decision is final. Betty Moir, whose work is well known in competition circles, gains first place, with her list of 1953 points. Next on the list was C- McLiver, with 1 776, and Joan Skinner with 1 757 third.
