WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE,
The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland Province to as, far south as Tauranga, Ivawliia and Hamilton: —
Moderate to strong south-westerly to southerly winds, reaching gale force in exposed positions, but gradually decreasing. Weather cokl and changeable, with scattered showers, but improving. Seas rough on the west coast, moderate on the east.
Pressure is still very low to tlie east, but is rising over the Dominion with the advance of an intense anti-cyclone across the Tasman Sea. Dominion Forecast. For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day: — The indications are for moderate to strong southerlies, to gale in places, but gradually decreasing. Weather probably cold and changeable, with scattered showers, but gradually improving. Barometer rising. Seas moderate.' Hauraki Gulf Conditions. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day: — Wind, south-west, moderate; sea, moderate; weather, cloudy with passing rain squalls; visibility, good; barometer, rising.
